How a Career in Entertainment Shaped a Future in Real Estate
LIV Sotheby’s International Realty (LIV SIR) is proud to spotlight global real estate advisor Preston Gaspar, who saw a window of opportunity during the pandemic to make a life change that included moving across state lines and making a career pivot.
In his career, Preston has always operated in rooms where the stakes are high and the margin for error is low. After spending 15 years as a junior agent at United Talent Agency’s (UTA) music division, producing major events and managing the expectations of some of the world’s most popular musicians, including Madonna, Elton John, and Coldplay. When COVID effectively shut down the live music and special events industry in 2020, Preston found himself at a crossroads. “I saw it as an opportunity to move to Colorado, where my parents, my brother, and his family all live,” he says. His parents had relocated to the state while he was in college, but he had never lived in Denver.

Preston’s background in entertainment would position him as one of the rising stars in real estate in the Front Range. The skills he perfected in that world would now define his approach to luxury real estate in Denver. Discretion, strategic thinking, and an instinct for what clients truly need have served him well in real estate.
His multi-hyphenate career has taken him a long way from his beginnings in London, Ontario, Canada. An early obsession with music and a chance opportunity during his senior year at the University of Michigan, where UTA was interviewing upcoming graduates, would set him up for success. He moved to Los Angeles from Ann Arbor immediately after graduation and began working in the mailroom before making his way into the music department.
Over the next decade and a half, he built a career working alongside some of the biggest names in the industry. Real estate became the natural next chapter as his sharp eye for architecture and design, and a deep appreciation for smart investment, helped solidify his decision for a career change when he found the parallels hard to ignore.
When Preston began building his real estate business in Denver, one brand stood out above the rest. “It’s the most prominent and elevated brand,” he says. “When I drove around Cherry Creek, it felt like I only saw LIV Sotheby’s signs.” Beyond the brand itself, it was the people who sealed the decision.
“The managing brokers were music to my ears because of how engaged they were in their advisors’ businesses in their respective offices. I also knew I wanted to learn and grow around the best agents.” That instinct, shaped by years in an industry where your network is everything, translated seamlessly.
In Denver’s fast-paced market, it’s crucial to stay confident in high-pressure situations, and that confidence is how Preston approaches every transaction. Whether he’s working with luxury buyers relocating from Los Angeles, first-time investors navigating a new market, or sellers looking to maximize value, clients receive the same level of service.
His style is strategic and hands-on, with an emphasis on trust and an elevated client experience that feels familiar to anyone accustomed to working with professionals climbing to the top of their field.
Preston focuses on high-end homes, modern lofts, and distinctive properties throughout Cherry Creek, LoHi, Washington Park, and surrounding Denver neighborhoods. These are areas where architecture, lifestyle, and investment value intersect in ways that speak directly to today’s discerning buyer and Preston’s expertise.
Deeply connected to Denver’s arts, music, and tennis communities, he brings real local insight to every conversation. He speaks not only about the properties themselves, but about the lifestyle that surrounds them. It is the kind of contextual knowledge that matters most to clients who are not just buying a home, but choosing a city.
