With fall festivals and Halloween approaching quickly, now is the time to make plans for farm visits and other seasonal activities.
Rock Creek Farm
Located near Broomfield in Boulder County, Rock Creek Farm offers one of the largest pumpkin patches in Colorado. With over 100 acres of pumpkins to choose from, this is a favorite seasonal stop to get in the mood for autumn.

Explore the hay bale maze, check out the farm animals, and enjoy plenty of lovely spots for photos. Well-behaved dogs are permitted on leash, but please keep them a safe distance from farm animals.
Bring a picnic to enjoy with sweeping views of the Flatirons. Open daily from September 28 through Halloween. Admission is complimentary and activities have varied fees.
Anderson Farms
Anderson Farms, located in Weld County between Longmont and Erie, is a quintessential family-friendly fall attraction. Explore the 7-mile corn maze and choose your own pumpkin at the sprawling patch, spread across 40 acres with 70 different types of pumpkins and gourds.

Wagon rides are available, and groups can reserve campfire spaces for a cozy place to relax and roast s’mores after sunset. Advance tickets and campfire reservations are available online. Snacks are available for purchase including hot dogs, bratwurst, nachos, and drinks.
Terror in the Corn offers a spooktacular experience through haunted cornfields, ghost towns, and a creepy corn maze on specific nights leading up to Halloween.

Denver Botanic Gardens
The Denver Botanic Gardens hosts the Glow at the Gardens event at its York Street location, with hundreds of glowing hand-carved local pumpkins providing a spectacular seasonal display. Visit between October 22-27 from 6:00-9:00pm and make sure to reserve tickets in advance as this favorite event will sell out!

Stroll through the gardens and marvel at intricate pumpkin carvings created by local artists, and make sure to get photos with these illuminated backdrops. Seasonal snacks and drinks are available for purchase. Costumes are encouraged, but adults aren’t permitted to wear masks that cover their entire faces.

The Chatfield Farms location hosts the Pumpkin Festival on October 11-13 from 9:00am-4:00pm. In addition to a 10-acre pumpkin patch, guests can enjoy local craft and vendor booths, food trucks, wagon rides, photo booths, a corn maze, face painting, and carnival activities.
Moon Farm
Moon Farm, located in the Western Slope town of Fruita, has a pumpkin patch and a myriad of other activities. Select your won pumpkin from September 28. -October 31 from 10am – 7pm daily.
Explore the haunted straw maze, meet animals at the petting zoo, and if you’re brave enough, check out the haunted castle and creepy clown house. Other attractions include the Viking Ship, schoolhouse, and mini museum.
