Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to honor the mothers and grandmothers who have done so much for us. Brunch is a wonderful way to gather and show our appreciation, and we’ve rounded up the top brunch destinations across the state.  

Boulder

A beloved institution in Boulder that opened in 1995, The Buff is known for its delicious breakfast menu and relaxed college-town vibe. Treat mom to their brunch items including homestead skillets, huevos rancheros, pancakes, and a variety of benedicts along with a mimosa, bloody mary or White Buffalo, a mocha with white Swiss chocolate.

Breckenridge

Located in the heart of Breckenridge, Blue River Bistro offers an extensive brunch menu along with hand-crafted cocktails in a cozy locale. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere, perfect for celebrating Mother’s Day. Begin with the honey + walnut brie or the Bibb salad with fried avocado and truffle-caper-lime vinaigrette. Brunch offerings range from the eggs benedict and chilaquiles to buttermilk pancakes and bison short rib hash.

Colorado Springs

Located on Tejon Street in Colorado Springs, the Garden of the Gods Market & Café boasts a cozy atmosphere with a rotating menu showcasing fresh, local ingredients. Brunch items include seasonal quiche, banana bread french toast, BLT with avocado, and Southwest Eggs Benedict. Don’t forget dessert: you can choose from pineapple upside down cupcakes, bourbon pecan tart, and the lemon mascarpone cake.  

Crested Butte

The Paradise Cafe is open daily for breakfast and lunch, earning them a loyal following of locals and visitors to Crested Butte. Favorite menu items include huevos rancheros, Hawaiian French toast, and Cinnamonster pancakes. They also have a full kids’ menu including PB&J and chicken tenders along with brunch items, so the whole family can find something to enjoy.


Denver

With locations from Fort Collins to Boulder to Denver to Colorado Springs, Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is a go-to for their signature pancakes including strawberry shortcake and pineapple upside-down varieties. Savory options include the Barbacoa Chile Verde Benedict, shrimp & grits, or the Habanero Pork Belly Benedict. Treat mom to a cappuccino, Irish Coffee, or espresso martini and enjoy this lively spot.

Evergreen

With a lovely location in the scenic foothills, Willow Creek Restaurant offers a beautiful setting with views of Evergreen Lake and a menu featuring locally-sourced ingredients. Begin with the market provisions board for everyone at the table to enjoy, with artisanal cheeses, house-pickled vegetables, crostini, and more.  Brunch items include Eggs Benedict, lemon mascarpone pancakes, smoked salmon tartine, or the Willow Creek Burger. Golden

Overlooking Clear Creek from its location inside the Golden Hotel, The Bridgewater Grill provides lovely views and a menu centered on local ingredients. Appetizers include smoked trout dip, housemade hummus with seasonal vegetables, or grilled naan accompanied by house-made goat cheese spread and caramelized onions. Brunch offerings range from salmon avocado toast and Belgian Waffles to a steak burger and Coors Beer Battered Fish & Chips.

Northern Colorado

Mother’s Day High Tea at Ginger and Baker is an experience Mom won’t forget. Learn how to create all the elements of a classic high tea in the Teaching Kitchen, and then enjoy all of the treats with a spot of tea. Earlene’s Egg Salad Sandwiches, Rhubarb Scones, and other delectable eats are on the menu. Reservations are required as space is limited. White gloves and garden party hats are encouraged.

Telluride

With an emphasis on local, organic, and handcrafted items, The Butcher & The Baker is a locals’ favorite. In 2018, the owners bought a 13-acre farm to further their commitment to the farm to table experience. The cozy spot on Colorado Avenue has both indoor and outdoor seating and their menu includes the Southwest Scramble, Croque Madame, steak & eggs or veggie hash. Don’t forget the sweet treats, ranging from chocolate croissants to bread pudding to fruit tarts.

Vail

Flame Restaurant at the Four Seasons is a luxurious locale for the legendary Champagne Brunch. The brunch buffet boasts unlimited mimosas, an omelet station, and raw oyster bar, or select the Jumbo Lump Crab Benedict, Rocky Mountain Game Skillet with Buffalo and Elk Jalapeño Sausage, or the mushroom toast in their beautiful space with views of Vail Mountain. Inspired cocktails include the Pimm’s Cup, Coconut Collins, or bellini.
