Things to do in Denver After Dark

Denver has plenty of activities to keep you busy during the day, and the Mile High City keeps the fun going after sunset. If you’re looking for something to do that’s under the radar, this list is for you.

54thirty Rooftop – Enjoy stunning views while sipping on craft cocktails at this seasonal rooftop bar atop the Le Méridien Denver Downtown. Only guests 21 and over will be admitted after 6 p.m. Please check the website daily for updates as the rooftop will close due to inclement weather.

Adams Mystery Playhouse – As Denver’s only full-time Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, located adjacent to Downtown in a historic mansion, this unique experience with dinner, professional acting, and laughter is appropriate for all ages. Chamberlin Observatory – University of Denver owns and operates the Chamberlin Observatory located in Observatory Park. The observatory has been open for 120 years and has been hosting public nights since 1894. Hosted by the Denver Astronomical Society, these select nights take place throughout the year. Space is limited and attendees must register ahead of time.

Things to do in Denver After Dark

Denver Botanic Gardens – Evening Yoga takes place at the Gardens on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. through December. This gentle class combines principles of Vinyasa and Hatha yoga. Taught by Blake Burger, a certified yoga instructor and horticulturist at the Gardens, this program takes place in the Morrison Discovery Classroom at the bottom of the Mordecai Children’s Garden. Advanced registration is required.

Denver Zoo –Zoo Lights begins on December 2, 2023 and runs through January 7, 2024. This is a special way the family can enjoy the zoo after dark and it has become a beloved tradition for many Denver families. Zoo Lights has evolved over its 33 years, boasting over two million lights, seasonal craft cocktails for adults and special holiday treats for the kids. Escapology – 6,100 square feet of fun featuring seven themed escape rooms, a restaurant, and a lounge. With several themed mysteries to choose from including an Arizona Shootout, Lost City and Budapest Express you and your party will have plenty of fun and team building. Rooms are private, so you will have the entire experience to yourselves.

First Friday Art Walks – The Arts District on Santa Fe hosts First Friday Art Walks throughout the year, come rain or come shine. From 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., thousands descend on Santa Fe Drive to view artwork in galleries, studios, co-ops, alleys, and on the street. Lucky Strike Denver – Late-night bowling is always a good idea and Lucky Strike doesn’t disappoint.
