Celebrate France’s Bastille Day at the 7th Annual Alliance Française Summer Soirée 2013, Saturday, July 13th at Four Mile Historic Park. Watch the park transform into a Parisian mecca, featuring delectable French food and wine from some of Denver’s finest restaurants, bakeries, and caterers. Historically known as French National Day, Bastille Day serves as a celebration to commemorate the the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille fortress-prison was seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation, and of the reconciliation of all the French inside the constitutional monarchy which preceded the First Republic, during the French Revolution. Festivities and official ceremonies are held all over France.
