Laura Kirar’s High-End Residential Fabrics Take Stage at Highland Court

Update your home’s interior with a fresh new set of prints that are taking the high-end residential design market by storm. The Laura Kirar collection designed exclusively for Highland Court – a division of Duralee headquartered in Bay Shore, New York – is a compilation of 159 woven patterns and prints, many original artworks developed directly from Kirar’s sketchbook. As the newest addition to the Highland Court family, this classically trained fine artist and internationally renowned designer brings a modernist vision to interior textiles, playing with scale, custom dyes, and texture, while narrating a sophisticated and confident color story. Kirar’s line is condensed into four color volumes – Quartz, Terra, Azure, and Flora – each perfecting the delicate balance between tone and technique.

Kirar pictured left, describes her first Highland Court collection saying “It’s a collection I’d envisioned for many years – painterly and urban, elegant and earthy, a sophisticated palette of acids and neutrals.” Designed to be an assemblage where all the designer’s needs are satisfied, this well rounded collection plays a starring role in the art of defining a room with fabric.

Other great Highland Court Collections include Phillip Gorrivan II, Mohair Vol. II, and Wilkson Silk Sheer Collection. To discover your perfect palette, the Denver Design District is a one stop resource for textiles, high-end furnishings, as well as local designers, and is also home to Chuck Wells & Associates, a Denver showroom that carries Duralee fabrics.  Pictured right, Snapshot of Laura Kirar’s Quartz color book. Photos Courtesy of Duralee.
