Denver will feel a little like Tinseltown this November, when the city hosts five red carpet galas and hundreds of movie screenings as part of the 35th Starz Denver Film Festival. Each year, film fans and industry insiders gather in the Mile High City for almost two weeks of cinema-related festivities, including dinners, premieres, and parties sponsored by the Denver Film Society.
This year, the festival will showcase over 250 films from around the world. Some you may have heard of—“The Artist”, last year’s pick for the Best Picture Oscar will be featured—but many will be screening for the first time in Colorado. The event is a fantastic opportunity to see lesser-known films by up-and-coming directors. It’s also a can’t-miss cultural experience with numerous after-show gatherings, competitions, and activities.
Attendees can buy tickets to single films or spring for a VIP package that includes dinner in Larimer Square, tickets to the kick-off gala at Ellie Caulkins Opera House, and passes to the opening night party at Beta Nightclub.
