Local Youth Organize Event to Benefit Children’s Charity
Afternoon Tea Party & Croquet with the Queen to take place at Chautauqua in May

Blue Sky Bridge Junior Advocates will be presenting an Afternoon Tea Party and Croquet with the Queen event for the public on May 20 at the Chautauqua Community House, to benefit the agency. Croquet with the Queen will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on the Chautauqua Green. The Afternoon Tea Party, from 2:00-4:00 pm, will feature tea and treats served by members of the Junior Advocates in fun costumes. This year, the Junior Advocates are excited to add face painting, fun crafts and a magician to the festivities!
The Junior Advocates are a group of dynamic and involved children ages 10-18 who have partnered with Blue Sky Bridge to reach out to their community about child abuse. Storybook characters will be walking around throughout the event to interact with children and oversee the goings on in this afternoon of fun. Joining the Junior Advocates as sponsors are WhiteWave Foods and Sotheby’s Carrie Host.
This event is family-friendly and open to children of all ages. Proceeds will benefit Blue Sky Bridge, a Children’s Advocacy Center serving abused children and their non-offending family members in Boulder County. Proceeds from the event will allow Blue Sky Bridge to continue helping abused children in our community; as well as expand our educational offerings, such as providing abuse prevention education to 3rd grade students, their parents and teachers.
The cost is $35 per person, and pre-registration is required (due to anticipated event sell-out). For more information, to become a sponsor, or to purchase tickets please contact Nia Wassink at 303-444-1388 or nwassink@blueskybridge.org.
